In at HBS
And out at Stanford...
Not getting an interview at Stanford was a left hook to the ego but an accept at Harvard is a pretty good restorative. Overall I'm not sure which one I would have chosen had I gotten into both but the choice (or lack thereof) is a lot easier now. Between Wharton, HBS and Sloan Im leaning towards HBS (and in danger of toppling over shortly). I'd still like to visit Wharton before deciding and will try to make it to Philly for the admit weekend.
Interesting difference between HBS and Wharton - within a few hours of being admitted at Wharton I was deluged with phone calls and emails from current students welcoming me into the fold. At HBS other than a link with the magic congratulations no fireworks ensued. I guess they dont think they have to sell me - they're probably right. Still Wharton seems to have students that are a lot more accessible and involved (in cyberspace anyways).

That's great news! Congrats :-)
nice one! congrats.
Congratulations!! Your observation about Havard is correct.
Over a year ago, I contacted my local Harvard alumni group and started attending their events.
I have to say that there have been people who are eager to help and others who are of the, "what is he doing here" attitude.
Definately a "holier than thou" attitude amongst most of the Harvard alumni.
That is fantastic! Congrats.
I completely agree with your observation about the two schools. I, too, was fortunate enough to be accepted to both schools in R1 this year, and like you said, Wharton sent me 5-10 emails within 48 hours of the decision (from the adcom, Korean students club, a current student from my area, etc etc), while from HBS, I only got one email (an invitation to some admit event in my area).
Such different schools...and yet I'm still leaning towards HBS. Gotta wait till I find out from Stanford R2
